In my quest to encourage the council to make Swords a place that the aged, less mobile and visually impaired can move freely about I have submitted the following question.
Question: Councillor J. Newman
“To ask the Chief Executive to report on what action is being undertaken to ensure that crossing points on footpaths in Swords Village are suitably sloped and marked to cater for an ageing population?”
Reply:
Any crossing points on the footpaths in Swords Village which would benefit from accessibility improvement works, where feasible, will be included in the Area Engineers Maintenance Programme
