I attended the public consultation process for the proposed new Bus Rapid Transit system, on 17th February, at County Hall. I met some residents from Broadmeadows, who were furious at the proposed route. While we badly need a better transport system, this system is just a glorified QBC. If this goes ahead, it looks like the end of Metro, if the NTA literature is anything to go by. This whole project was suddenly sprung on the local community, without any prior consultation with residents.
