I asked the council to consider installing bicycle racks in Swords Village to encourage the use of bikes, see below.

“To ask the Chief Executive to consider providing a number of bicycle racks at the Council Offices and in suitable locations along Main Street Swords Reason: to meet existing needs and encourage more cycling in the community?”
Reply:
The Operations Department worked closely with the Swords TidyTowns committee who liaised with local business owners to identify locations where bicycle racks and seating could be installed. Bicycle racks were installed at the Garda Station and across the road from County Hall at the junction of North Street and Main Street. If additional locations that would be acceptable to the business community on Main Street can be identified additional bike racks can be ordered and quickly installed
