Footpath/Ramps – Accessibility
Question: Councillor J. Newman
“To ask the Chief Executive what facility is in place within the Council to allow the elderly and people with disabilities to consult and engage with the Council with regard to accessibility issues, specifically in relation to footpaths and ramps?”
Reply:
Fingal County Council Operations Department have a good working relationship with statutory bodies (HSE etc), transport providers (Dublin Bus etc), and assistance agencies (Prosper Fingal etc) and we work closely with them whenever an issue of this nature is identified.
In addition to this, any person can directly contact the Operations Department with regard to specific requests and we will endeavour to facilitate these requests. We regularly meet with Resident’s Groups Deputations, and matters of this nature may be raised at these meetings also.
The Age-Friendly Fingal initiative (through the Housing & Community Department) would also be another channel for raising these
